Best Vacation Destinations for a Girl Power Holiday

Posted by Crys Joan

Planning a Girls Only Vacation – Girl Power! This phrase is becoming more and more popular. We see many events and promos going on exclusively for girls only. Why not, there truly is a different kind of fun and excitement you can enjoy with an all girls party which is not possible if there is any male around. So if you are throwing an all girls party vacation either for your mom and aunts or with your bffs, here are some of the best vacation destinations perfect for an all-girls holiday.

Sunny Isles in Florida USA – For a girl party with a funky and chic theme, this tropical barrier island resort is the perfect venue. Sunny Isles is located between Fort Lauderdale and South Beach of Miami. The once sleepy resort was lined with the motels of the 50’s. Now it’s a lively stretch of beautiful beaches with towering hotels and luxury apartments transforming the groovy slow ambiance into a hip and chic one. You and your girls club will love to relax at the beach enjoying a book or having a nice lunch. Get your shop on at the nearby commercial centers and later get your groove on by having a night out in the swanky beach-front bars.

Puerto Vallarta in Mexico – As the second largest beach resort in Mexico, you will find fun and excitement here and served in large doses too. This beach is lined with premier holiday establishments like luxury hotels, shopping centers and recreational parks. There’s never a dull moment for your girls party in Puerto Vallarta! You can also experience the charm of the Mexico that was in the city’s historical district. You and your girl company can relax and enjoy time away while being pampered in one of the many spas and beauty treatment centers. A direct or connecting flight from any ports in the US can bring you to this beautiful Mexican resort.

Meadowood in Napa – For a unique and unforgettable girl party, bring your girlfriends or your mother, aunts, sisters and mother-in-law and sisters-in-law to Meadowood. Nestled in a forested hillside of a discreet valley, you and your girl company can surely have a unique resort-home vacation getaway. Meadowood has a total of 85 cottages, suites and lodges where you can spend wonderful bonding moments with your girlfriends. The lush and green forest area is ideal for hiking and camping. Swimming is available seasonally and at several indoor pools.

While in Meadowood, spend a day visiting the nearby St. Helena Olive Oil Company where you can find the best selections of vinegar, olive oils, salamis and even jams and preserves. For sweet lovers, don’t fail to visit the Woodhouse Chocolate where you can find satisfaction for your sweetest cravings. Freckles, one of the leading brands of children’s clothing also houses its manufacturing plant here where you can buy souvenirs for your kids and take advantage of the one-of-a-kinds for your favorite “little girls”.

These are just three of the best vacation destinations for an all girl party. There are a lot more to come. So what are you waiting for, book your reservations now and have a wonderful all girls party and let’s all shout “Viva Girl Power!”

Kuala Penyu

Posted by tatajane

Yesterday I went to Kuala Penyu for some new experience of new place. It is located in the Interior Division of Sabah and only about 120km from Kota Kinabalu City. The road is way better than going to Ranau or Keningau area, because it’s a straight road to compare with the hills.

Located on the Klias Peninsula, which was originally covered with mangrove swamp forests, Kuala Penyu main ethnic is Dusun Tatana. Sitompok, Bundu and Menumbok are the three parts in the district of Kuala Penyu. Other races are like Bisaya,Brunei,Kedayan,Bajau,Tidung,Binadan and Chinese.

I happen to attend the wedding of Dusun Tatana on that time and I really enjoy their traditional food KULAPIS. It is made by glutinous rice and wrapped with pandan leaves.IMG 2785 300x224 Kuala Penyu

I went to one of the three famous beaches Tempurung beach, Sawangan Beach and Sungai Labuan Beach. I went to Sawangan Beach and it’s really wonderful. Kuala Penyu also one of the gateway to go Pulau Tiga survivor Island and Labuan. From Sawangan Beach, I could see the Pulau Tiga island as it really nearby, around 10KM from Kuala penyu.
Kuala penyu is famous with its Rumbia (Sago Plant), and they even has this festive called Pesta Rumbia (Sago Fiest).

See Pulau tiga behind me?

Its just a day trip and I didn’t get more photo, but I will go back again to one of the chalet and will let you know how is it icon smile Kuala Penyu
And for sure im now preparing for my Pulau Tiga adventure, and wait..wait..i will tell you more about it icon smile Kuala Penyu

It is about 120km from Kota Kinabalu city, with quite an experience for the first timer to drive there icon smile Ranau One need to really drive carefully because its just a small highway that connected KK and Ranau. Despite of the road, you will be amazed with all the beautiful scenes throughout the road..Amazingly beautiful..

In Kota Kinabalu area, places you can go  :

a. Mari Mari Cultural Village

b. Monsopoid Cultural Village

c. Tunku Abd Rahman Park

d. Kota Kinabalu Wetland Centre

e. Gaya Street (Sunday Market)

Since you only have 3 days there, and you want to do island hopping..so i think this is your plan icon smile Visiting Sabah? :
